OUR VALUES
The Naturalist Way is founded on a deep love for the Oneness of humanity and all life on Earth, rooted in Rastafari and Pan-Africanist perspectives.
We don’t just speak of unity – we live by Inity.
Inity is a core principle in Rastafari philosophy that teaches that there is no real separation between “You” and “I“. It speaks to the interconnectedness of all life, reminding us that we are intrinsically linked to each other, the Earth, and the Divine.
Through this innerstanding, we move beyond the illusion of division and embrace a way of living that nurtures collective harmony, respect, and spiritual alignment with all forms of creation.
Most ancestral indigenous philosophies reflect the importance of this collective union. For example, the principle of Ubuntu, a Nguni word which teaches “I am because we are”, reminds us that our individual well-being is deeply linked to the well-being of others.
The journey toward Oneness and the unravelling of separation’s illusions form the foundation of The Naturalist Way.
This is more than a diet. This goes beyond a lifestyle. This is a collective awakening. A movement rooted in love, empowerment, sustainability, and deep reverence for all life.
We have the choice and the responsibility to break cycles of disconnection and misalignment. We live in a world that continuously pulls us away from nature, from each other, and from ourselves.
To nourish with intention, to gather in harmony, and to share the wisdom of those who came before us, while guiding those who will follow, isn’t just important. It is essential. It is sacred. It is the way forward.
We welcome you to walk with us on this path toward the deepest and most whole expressions of Love.

WHO IS CHEF JAY, FOUNDER OF THE NATURALIST WAY?

“This journey began as a profoundly personal one. After witnessing preventable health struggles within my own family, I felt a powerful calling to break the generational cycle and take full responsibility for our bodies, a vessel gifted to us by the Most High. I came to innerstand a simple but profound truth:
Illness is not random; it is the result of consuming what was never meant for us.
Raised in the UK with Jamaican, British, and West Indian roots, I innerstand the struggle of discovering one’s true identity. My journey has revealed how deeply identity and culture are woven into the sacred act of nourishment. To feed our God-given vessel is not only an expression of love. It is a way to honour our ancestors and reclaim our birthright of health and vitality.
With 13 years of culinary expertise and nearly a decade devoted to an alkaline-only lifestyle, I have deeply explored the transformative power of living in the most Naturalist of ways.
By nourishing my body on a cellular level, and cleansing it of harmful foods, stagnant energies, and limiting habits, I began to feel a shift.
Through devotional discipline in service to both my highest good and the well-being of the collective, I have experienced a steady, ever-growing enrichment of itality. Not just in my cells, but deep within my soul and the material reality around me.
Over the years, I’ve reimagined classic favourite dishes, transforming them into revitalising, healing meals. By carefully substituting acidic ingredients with alkaline alternatives, I craft meals that are not only satisfying but also restorative and deeply nourishing.
At the core of my philosophy is Ital Livity, a principle rooted in Rastafari culture. More than just a way of eating, it is a way of being; living in harmony with nature, embracing purity, and honouring the sacred connection between body, Spirit, and the Earth.
This righteous livity pulses with the rhythm of Pan-African wisdom, tracing its lineage to the ancestral knowledge of the Motherland. From the plant-based traditions of indigenous African societies to the holistic healing practices passed down through generations, Ital stands as a testament to the resilience, strength, and divine balance that have always been at the heart of African consciousness.
As my father always said, “If you can’t hear, you must feel.” What he meant by this is that when we fail to listen to the subtle lessons life offers us, whether through intuition, warnings, or early signs, we may eventually be forced to experience the consequences of our actions directly. In other words, if we don’t heed the quiet lessons, life will sometimes make us feel the full weight of those lessons to ensure we truly overstand their importance.
How often do we ignore the signals our bodies send, only to later face the repercussions of not paying attention? This powerful lesson became a turning point in my own journey, teaching me that sometimes we need to experience the effects of our choices firsthand to truly comprehend their impact.
It’s a reminder that wisdom often comes not just from knowledge, but from being present with the consequences of our actions. This principle continues to guide me in my mission to promote healing, well-being, and a life that aligns with the wisdom we gain through experience.
The Naturalist Way is a natural extension of my devotion to celebrating my African ancestry, sharing ancestral knowledge, and guiding others on their own journey of healing and growth.
My calling is to cater to, inspire, and collaborate with like-minded souls who recognise the abundant wealth of health sustained with care, knowledge, respect, and alkaline ital livity.”
